14 Administration
This chapter covers the account and system management aspects of TDengine IDMP, including personal settings, deployment architecture, capacity planning, installation, user management, system configuration, backup and recovery, audit trail, sample data, and license management.
Personal settings are accessed from the top account item in the avatar menu. The Admin Console is accessed from the same menu.

๐๏ธ Deployment Architecture
TDengine IDMP supports three typical deployment topologies: Single Instance, HA Minimal, and HA Complex. Each topology is suited to different scale and availability requirements.
๐๏ธ Planning
14.2.1 Hardware Requirements
๐๏ธ Installation
5 items
๐๏ธ User Management
User management is accessed from Admin Console โ User Management. It covers users, roles, and single sign-on (SSO) configuration.
๐๏ธ System Configuration
System Configuration is accessed from Admin Console โ System Configuration. It has four sections: Basic Configuration, Notification Contact Point, System Message Template, and Email Server Configuration.
๐๏ธ Backup and Restore
TDengine IDMP supports scheduled automated backups. Backups can be used to restore the system to a prior state after data loss or corruption.
๐๏ธ Audit Trail
The audit trail records all modifications users make to IDMP system objects. Once enabled, IDMP automatically generates tamper-proof operation logs that preserve the actor, time, object, and before/after content of every change, and provides interfaces for querying, filtering, and exporting โ for compliance auditing and security traceability.
๐๏ธ Profile Settings and API Keys
Personal settings are available to every signed-in user. Use this dialog to maintain your profile, avatar, password, and user-level API keys. Open the avatar menu in the upper-right corner and select the top account item, which shows your avatar, email address, and name.
๐๏ธ Sample Data
The Sample Data feature loads a prebuilt business scenario into TDengine IDMP with a single click. No real data source is required to experience the full product workflow. During loading, the tool automatically creates the data model from a JSON configuration file and writes simulated time-series data into the TDengine time-series database. The system includes several typical industry scenario packages out of the box, and users can also build custom packages to match specific business requirements.
๐๏ธ License Management
The License Management page provides a centralized view of the software licenses currently granted to a TDengine IDMP system and their usage, along with an optional configuration entry for ECS (Enterprise Certificate Service) licensing.
