2 Getting Started
TDengine IDMP can be deployed and accessed in three ways: as a fully managed cloud service, as a local deployment using Docker, or as a direct installation from a package. All three paths lead to the same destination — a running IDMP instance loaded with built-in sample data, ready for you to explore immediately.
If your organization already has TDengine IDMP running — either on the cloud or on-premises — you don't need to set anything up yourself. Ask your administrator to send you an invitation email. The email will contain a link to activate your account. Click the link, set your password, and you will be taken directly into the IDMP web console, ready to explore all features immediately.
In the sections that follow, we'll guide you through all three ways to get started with TDengine IDMP.
📄️ TDengine Cloud
TDengine Cloud is a fully managed cloud service for industrial big data. It delivers all features of TDengine IDMP as a cloud-native solution on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You can register for free and automatically receive $250 in credit to evaluate TDengine IDMP.
📄️ Docker
TDengine IDMP is offered as a Docker Compose setup to make deployment easy. This installs TDengine TSDB-Enterprise along with TDengine IDMP and automatically establishes a connection between them.
📄️ Local Install
You can install TDengine IDMP locally on a Linux, macOS, or Windows machine.
